Jan. 5, 2009 Update
Muffy continues to improve. We just came back from a check up as it has been on month ago today since her transplant. We met briefly with surgeon and he immediately ordered a MRI and said he would see us on Wednesday, the day we are next scheduled for an office visit. She has a little water retention but they were not alarmed about it. Overall the doctors were very encouraging.
We want to thank all of you for all of your prayers, calls, cards and words of encouragement. I will try to be a little more attentive to the updates on the website from now on. I thought that Muff would be up to speed by now but she isn't. She has been answering a few emails and trying to catch them up. Glenn

Hey Muffy! So glad to hear of your progress. I can't believe it's already been a month. I hope your pain and discomfort is subsiding by now. Take care and keep up the good work!

I've been thinking about you all since Kathy Foote told me that you were moving to Seattle to get a lung transplant(gosh, that was a while ago) and here you are with a new lung! And I thought at some point I'd call and get a mailing address for you in Seattle. (I'm from the old school of letter writing and I like to send photo cards.) Then Earl and I went to the Foote's Christmas party on the 23rd and Kathy said you had a web site! Holy Smokes - that's high tech. Sounds like you're doing very well. Just know I'm thinking of you and send out good love and thoughts your way. Miss you and take care, hopefully Seattle's not underwater with all this crazy weather! Susan

Sorry to hear that you had to have such an extensive surgery, but it sounds like you are doing well. I just got off the phone with Cathy Cox and told her what I had read in the QHN....we had fun talking about all the fun times at cuttings back in the 1990's!! Hope to hear from you that you're feeling stronger every day!
